Our story
“Travelling with a purpose and with specific values can become easy when you are passionate about it !”
Living a life filled with adventures and cultural trips since 2009, Fajer Mufeez established ‘The Journey Adventures’ after observing firsthand how this style of travelling has a significant impact on a person’s life.
Whether by choice or coincidence, her style of travelling since 2009 varied from scuba diving in the red sea, getting her private pilot license, humanitarian work in Somalia to 3 months projects based in Denmark.
In 2016, she decided to arrange her first group trip and included all her local and international friends that had many questions about her travelling life. So why not show them first hand so they can understand it for themselves? A group of 13 girls travelled to Spain and Morocco on a cultural and adventurous trip in The New Year of 2016. The Toubkal Mountains in Morocco sparked her first interest in hiking and inspired many future mountain expeditions.
After many more group trips since then, and during the summer of 2017, she finally decided to change it to an official business and open it for the public. And with her decision came the first prototype; a large expedition to one of the seven summits in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, with a group of 16 girls in December 2017.
On New Years’ eve, girls from Bahrain, Saudi, Kuwait, Jordan, Emirates summited the roof of Africa. The impact of that expedition was enormous both on their personal lives and of those around them. This gave her the push and affirmation that all the values she wanted to portray though travel were effective and their outcome was very visible on travelers.
In April 2018, The Journey Adventures officially launched its identity as a travel and adventures company, creating unique experiences internationally, and has been on a roll ever since.
